Reaching lockup is such a relief, the frustration for us was that the bank couldn’t understand how we were at lockup without any cladding on the building.

Weather-tight wrap
Who would’ve thought that building sarking could evolve and become one of a buildings most important attribute, not ony shielding from moisture, but preventing drafts.
After much research and recommendations, it appeared that Pro Clima‘s products were the best in the industry, and their reseller for Victoria is PHCP.
For the walls we used Solitex Extasana and for the roof Solitex Mento Plus.
On every overlap of two products, we taped each join with Tescon Extora tape. We also applied small square patches over every staple hole to eliminate any potential pathways for air or water infiltration.

Windows
Prior to building, I saw an advertisement for thermally broken windows from Logikhaus in Sanctuary Magazine. They are aluminium on the outside, and timber on the inside.
My minimum standard would’ve been double-glazed, however Harley from Logikhaus said I will add triple-glazed just an an option for you incase. I’m glad he did, as the upgrade was minimal in cost.
The windows are made in Poland, and are tilt and turn, allowing you to change the way the window opens depending on wind speed or inclement weather.
